    Status of co-op feature?

    Posted: 12 Sep 2019 09:52 AM PDT

My gaming buddy and I love Anno. Gorgeous game. But we stopped playing it a month or so after launch because we find the micromanagement of so many things as the game goes on way too demanding to be fun, for us at least. We've been patiently waiting for co-op to come out in order to dive back in. Are there any updates on a timeframe for this?

    Thanks.

Sabotage and Spies/Henchman in Anno 1800

Sabotage and Spies/Henchman in Anno 1800

One of my favorite buildings from the Anno series was implemented in the Add on of Anno 1404 Venice: Sabotage. It was a new strategy to infiltrate your own spies into enemy cities and then do damage like fire. I ask you, the community, if they see it similar, and if you can install this in the new Anno 1800 possibly. I would like that very much.

    Thank you for your attention!

Here is the link for a better explanation of the building.

    Sorry for "okay" english

    Editor voice lines

    Posted: 12 Sep 2019 06:30 AM PDT

I love the characters and voices in ANNO 1800, they add so much atmosphere to the game, especially if you hear a rare line, say, from a bantering resident. However not all lines have subtitles and with all those different accents and voices and antiquated words it can be quite a challenge to understand certain lines.

Can a native English speaker help me with some of the Editor's sayings? I want to know exactly what the man is bumbling whenever I come to violate the freedom of press.

The two I'm struggling with are: "<unintelligible>...catch (?) you in especially good humor, Gov'nor?" and "May I interest you in this recently published (polished?) app? (?)"

P.S. "The idiot is back.." must be my favorite voice line in the entire game :D. I also love his little stories about hunting for scoops that he sometimes tells if you linger about in the Newspaper screen.

    Dx11 vs. Dx12

    Posted: 12 Sep 2019 05:49 AM PDT

Dear Annoholics, a quick question. What's the difference between Dx11 and Dx12? I've been playing with Dx11 right from the start, but I read that Dx12 runs smoother, but is less stable. Is this true? Would you recommend switching to Dx12?

    If it's important, my specs: i5-9600, 16 gb ram, RTX2070, win10.

    Thx in advance!

    Sceptre of Capon Crash

    Posted: 12 Sep 2019 08:00 AM PDT

    Hey everyone,

I recently purchased the anno 1800 season pass and got to play the sunken treasures dlc. I'f been doing those quests for the queen but now i apear to be stuck. I have restored the Sceptre of Capon but as soon as i equip it in my museum it freeze's my game and then it crashes. I would like to know if more people are experiencing this issue and if there is a fix for this.

I have restarted the game multiple times, Reloaded older save files but nothing works.

    Thanks in advance!

So, why can't I play my game?

    Posted: 12 Sep 2019 06:19 AM PDT

So I've been playing anno 1800 for a few weeks and put in about 90 hours. Suddenly I can't start my game. It says that "Sunken treasures" is not available. I assume this is a DLC that gives the salvager and stuff? I haven't bought any DLC so why have I had that stuff before? And are they seriously holding the save game I spent 90 hours on hostage until I buy a dlc that I never even knew I've been using. That is the most absurd thing I think I have ever encountered in all my years of playing video games.

    Campaign not continuing?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 07:23 PM PDT

So I started a normal game (my first ever) in the campaign and nothing seems to happen after I reach 50 farmers... No quests, nothing. I have every single building I can build and my warehouses are stocked to the brim with everything I can have and currently reaching over 600 farmers. I can't upgrade to workers and I am at my wits end. "A spark rekindled" is the last quest I received and I can't clear any of those districts. It still says that I don't have enough people. 675 is not enough?

How much memory should Anno1800 be using?

    Posted: 12 Sep 2019 02:39 AM PDT

So when I start Anno its using about 6 or 7 gb if my machines ram, but after about 30 minutes of playing all 16gb of ram is being used and the game starts to suffer in performance. Especially when it auto-saves.

When I learned the min system requirements were only 8gb of memory I figured my 16gb would be plenty but it seems that I may have to invest in a lot more.

How much ram does Anno use on other peoples systems?

    Oil route bug?

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 06:15 PM PDT

    Hi guys,

I'm genuinely confused about how the oil harbor/railway work. My oil trade route was working fine until today I updated the game, now, in one of my new world island, which happens to be my main oil output, suddenly all the oil well stops working because "output storage is full", yet when i check the oil harbor the storage is 0 and none of my train is running. What could be the problem? Thanks.

    Campaign Housing Layout (Anno 1800)

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 11:06 PM PDT

I am hoping that someone can recommend a nice housing layout for the campaign? I find that I am really struggling with this release of Anno 1800, due to my trying to perfect my layout and leave the relevant space for power plants, trains, etc. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

lag making the game un-playable (anno 1800)

    Posted: 11 Sep 2019 12:42 PM PDT

I have a MSI laptop which I am trying to play on from uplay+ and am having major lag while playing the game.

Laptop has a 1060 6gb, with 16gb of ram and an intel i7-8750H processor, the game is being played on med-low settings and in chapt. 2 when the camera pans around the town I probably get around 10 fps.

Can't really understand whats happening, I was able to play larger games like BF5 on this laptop on high-ultra at 60-70 fps but a top down civ type game is really causing me this much trouble.

    Any tips?
