Do scholars pay for their needs? Or are they a huge cash sink?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 05:36 AM PDT

So do you get coins fur the stuff they consume? Or do you just get beakers. I hope it is just beakers. That way it opens up trading and other ways of making money to support them...

When does Land of Lions appear in game?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 08:09 AM PDT

Thanks for any information, trying to decide whether to start anew or continue with existing save (or even progressing with that save if I'm not at the point where the DLC would kick in).

    Co-op from the same Household

Hey Anno Community, I got my significant other to join the fun and we wanted to play together. I bought the game with both season passes and she joined uplay+. Everything works fine till we connect to the game then we always get the message that the other one is disconnected and we only can continue playing alone or quiting the game. It's very frustrating. Any ideas? I opened the udp 18000 on our router. Thanks!

Is playing campaign into endless game a good idea?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 06:37 AM PDT

    Greetings,

i want to start a new game in preparation für the upcoming land of lions dlc. I never quite played the campaign to it's very end, i always started sandbox games, tried to find good maps and played them. Now i asked myself, when you finish the campaign, it becomes and endless game, right? Is it a nice map, i mean to play for with the arctic and enbesa and stuff? the starting island in the campaign is a desaster i think. i tend to play with three 3-star npc enemies and all the other settings on medium.

i am happy to hear any experiences from you, thank you :)

Looking for a compact sausage layout with silos.

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 08:40 AM PDT

Most layouts ive found around dont have silos in them and i cant figure out a neat and compact layout for my sausage production.

    Anyone got one of those!?

EDIT: Separate pigs and sausage production layouts could also work. Doest have to be all in one.

    New game

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 07:48 AM PDT

Hey guys, how do you usually starts a game to be "the game". I mean, I've played a few dozens hours but never made an incredible progress like most of the guys here, with millions in income. I always play with friends, which means that we have wars, NPCs being an a** and usually a functional, but not beautiful, city.

So, LoL is launching this week and I want to know if you usually start a game without NPCs and play like a city-builder only game or everytime I see a huge save game here is because you all already destroyed everyone and now you are only having fun building a dream nation. Thanks everyone!

About Twitch drops: https://anno-union.com/twitch-drop-lions/ Do I need to watch online streams or do watching them later will work as well? Those LoL items are gained instantly or do we need to wait for it?

How many islands do you need to support your capital ?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 04:37 AM PDT

I planned to start building my real big city in cape trelawny after I fully develop my original island (I just finished the carriage production line yesterday) However, I noticed that to support my original island alone, i need 4 islands in the new world and around 4 smaller islands in the old world. They are not fully crammed at the moment, but neither is my original island. Right now, two of the new world islands i own are already fully exploited for coffee, linen, and the white glue thing. Another two islands in the new worlds are half full for tobacco, chocolate, rum, and gold ore. The smaller old world islands i own are not as crammed but their coal/minerals are pretty much used up for my original island's industry.

My question is do I have to declare war and basically take 2/3 of the old world and new world islands as my own in order to support another big city ? Buying shares is a bit slow for me, but I really dont want to get into the head ache of trying to manage trade route in war time either.

Any advice is appreciated. This is the first time I play this far 🙂

Here's a couple more of the city. Moving onto engineers and the tricky part of getting electricity to people while keeping it looking attractive is coming up...

Why is there no pause button in Online Multiplayer?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 05:06 AM PDT

I love playing Anno with my friends in coop/comp mode and a feature we miss heavily is a pause button. Is there a technical reason why a pause button is still not implemented? Reading the patch notes for Update 9, I was a bit dissapointed to see that there is nothing in that direction.

How's the game with low influence setting?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 05:01 AM PDT

I'm curious about this setting, I'm a bit afraid of trying it though if it makes the late game unplayable. Have people tried it?

How to report bugs given that Ubisoft's support is closed for COVID?

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 02:02 AM PDT

I want to report bugs, and with the new DLC surely many people will too.

However Ubisoft has disabled email support, and it's only live chat (which is also disabled as I'm typing...). "In the light of the current situation, we are temporarily restricting our support to live chat only."

How to do a regular bug report to the devs?
