[Anno 1800] Charter ships subject to diplomatic status?

    Posted: 14 Mar 2021 04:46 AM PDT

I could be wrong here but I'm finding that my charter ships are being killed by an AI I'm at war with. I don't THINK it's pirates (it's dead by the time I notice). Am I mistaken here? Is it pirates causing me issues and I just haven't realised? Or are hostile AI factions able to attack charter ships?

Can you lose to an AI?

    Posted: 14 Mar 2021 10:40 AM PDT

I'm pretty new to Anno. I'm playing a game against 2 one star AI and 1 two star AI. I'm wondering how competitive this game is. Are you actually racing towards the win condition against these AI's? Or are they more so there to trade and fight with? The 2 star AI got to Artisans before me and I'm wondering if I should be worried that she's going to outpace me this whole game.

    Susannah Brightwoman - Duplicate?

    Posted: 14 Mar 2021 01:16 AM PST

    Hi Everyone!

I would like to make my Jewelers the best possible, and I need Susannah Brightwoman. I already got her once with the Queen's quest, but I would like to have more. Unfortunately she cannot be researched / obtained on ship quests.

Is there a duplication glitch, or anything like that?

To Me, It's Clear What the Next Game Should Be

    Posted: 14 Mar 2021 08:26 AM PDT

I think the series should stay historical and for the next game, it's clear that it should be a mix of all the previous historical Annos. It should be global, like Anno 1800 (With Asia and the Pacific included of course) and the timeline should encompass all modern history, stopping before World War One. Think 1404 to 1914. Centuries-spanning games have been done before, they're just more common in war strategy games than city-builders. I think this would be the ultimate Anno. The only objection I could think of against the idea is that Anno 1800 is really difficult as it is and this would make it impossible, but I think the developers are talented enough to pull it off. Any thoughts about this idea or the next Anno?

Is there any mod/custom map for Cape Trelawney that spawns a different map with continental land to build on?

So I Am Finally Doing The Land Of Lions Expedition

Taken me a week to get ready for this. I think all the other regions can manage without me for long enough for me to go and start Enbesa. So the expedition is underway!

Just booted up the game after a long while...experiencing a lot of flickering

    Posted: 13 Mar 2021 03:34 PM PST

I just started playing 1800 again after a long time away. Downloaded all the latest updates and the menus in the game are all flickering a great deal. It's very distracting. Has anyone else experienced this and know a fix? thanks.

Producing 1 Goulash/Canned Food no matter the amount of factories?

Producing 1 Goulash/Canned Food no matter the amount of factories?

    Hi all!

I've noticed that no matter how many Artisanal Kitchens or Cannery I build, the production of those items always shows "1".

For example, if I have one Cannery, and I have some Artisans (but not enough to take that full Canned Food output), I would see Demands as 0 (with the blue bar somewhere between 0 and full), and Supply as 1. However, if I build another Cannery, without adding any Artisans, the Demand number would stay 0, but the blue bar would now be half as full as it was previously. Supply would show 1, as before.

Visually, it would give the following if I had one Cannery, producing 1 Canned Foods, and enough Artisans to fill the whole Demands bar, so be at 1 Demand as well. Building a second Cannery would give me the following:

    https://preview.redd.it/j6y8j41t8vm61.png?width=1011&format=png&auto=webp&s=7e7f77fa067575759ffe296d5007ece142c2a9b6

This is a bit annoying, since I can meet my people's demands for those 2 types of items without a problem, but since the supply stays at 1, I can never build a big enough supply of it to trade.

Anybody have an idea as to why this happens?

This Game Is Driving Me Mental Today - Lumberjack Huts

    Posted: 13 Mar 2021 05:45 PM PST

So, trying to make a nice little wood production hub with a trade union with the items that reduce area of trees needed. But whenever a place a lumberjack hut it says 100% but once its built its only operating at like 8-60% so trying to get placements right it just impossible right now. So FRUSTRATED!
